Redeemed a reward in the last 30 days: proof your dispensary loyalty works
A redeemed reward is what makes the rest believable
The Recently Redeemed Reward segment in Sticky Cards includes every dispensary customer who has redeemed a discount in the last 30 days.
Members who have taken something out of the programme. That moment is worth following up and worth protecting.
What is the Recently Redeemed Reward segment?
Everyone here has redeemed a discount in the last 30 days. That is the rule, and it is the same in every store using Sticky Cards.
That redemption matters more than it looks. A member who has actually taken something out of the programme has learned that the points are real, and that lesson is what turns a card in a wallet into a reason to keep choosing you. Everyone else is still taking it on faith.
It also makes this one of the most useful exclusions in your account. A customer who just used a reward does not need a discount on top of it, and stacking one on the other trains people to wait for both.

Push is the natural channel here. These members are demonstrably engaged with the programme, the card is on their phone and working, and the follow-up messages that suit this moment are exactly the sort you would not pay to send.
What should a dispensary send to recent redeemers?
The what-is-next messagePush
They just spent points. Telling them how close the next reward is turns one redemption into the start of a cycle rather than a one-off.
The exclusion on discount blastsAny
Not a send. Add this segment under "Don’t send to" on any general discount, so you are not handing someone a second saving on top of the one they just took.
The satisfaction checkEmail
Ask whether the reward was worth having. It is the only reliable way to find out if your reward catalogue is any good, and these are the only people who can tell you.
The habit reinforcementPush
A quiet reminder that points keep building from here. Cheap, and it lands while the programme is still fresh in their mind.
Ideas to try
The next-reward play
Build it in Play Designer to push a few days after a redemption, showing how close the next one is. It is the cheapest way to turn a single redemption into a repeating cycle.
Sample subject line
You are closer to the next one than you think
The standing exclusion
Set this segment under "Don’t send to" on every general discount campaign. It takes seconds and stops you stacking savings on the customers who least need them.
Sample subject line
No subject line: this one is a setting, not a send
The catalogue audit
Once or twice a year, ask this segment plainly whether the reward was worth it. Rewards nobody wants are why redemption rates stay low, and this is the only group who can tell you which ones those are.

Related segments to pair it with
- Never Redeemed RewardThe opposite group, and the larger one. Compare their return rates against this segment and you have the business case for pushing redemption.
- Has LoyaltyThe wider programme list. This segment is the part of it that has proved to itself the points are real.
- Low SpendersDon’t send toSet this as your exclusion on discount campaigns aimed at price-conscious customers. Someone who just redeemed does not need a second saving in the same week.
What to measure
Compare what this segment does next against members who have never redeemed. Time to next visit and spend per visit are the two to look at. If redeemers come back faster, you have a number that justifies making redemption easier, and that number is more persuasive internally than any argument about loyalty in the abstract.
Questions we get
What counts as recently?
The last 30 days. A customer joins the day they redeem a discount and leaves once that redemption is more than 30 days old.
Why exclude these customers from discounts?
Because they just received value from the programme. Adding a discount on top costs margin twice for one visit and teaches people to wait until both are available.
What should I send them instead?
How close the next reward is. It costs nothing, it is welcome, and it turns one redemption into the start of a cycle.
