Sticky Cards runs your whole loyalty program inside Cova.

Sticky Cards is a loyalty and customer marketing platform for cannabis dispensaries that use Cova POS.

Your till only sees a customer on the days they come in. Sticky Cards covers the days in between.

  • Points earn and redeem in Cova’s own loyalty screens. Nothing new for your budtenders to learn.
  • The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. No app, no password.
  • Push, email and text bring customers back, aimed by what they bought.

At Farmer Jane’s 18 Cova stores, members spent 18.5% more a visit than non-members.

  • Month-to-month
  • No setup fee
  • Live in 14 days

Sticky Cards runs the loyalty program, and Cova rings the sale.

Your team keeps the Cova screens they already know. Sticky Cards runs the program behind them.

Cova POS

Cova rings the sale

Nothing gets ripped out. Nobody learns a second system at the counter.

  • Rings the ticket and takes the payment
  • Shows the loyalty screens your team already knows
  • Applies the reward to the invoice
  • Wired to inventory, compliance and receipts
Sticky Cards

Sticky Cards runs the loyalty program

Every point, every reward and every message between visits, delivered through the loyalty screens already built into Cova.

  • Every point balance, and the rules that earn them
  • The reward list your budtenders see in Cova
  • The loyalty card in Apple and Google Wallet
  • Lock-screen push, unlimited under fair use
  • Email and text on cannabis-registered numbers
  • Segments built from real Cova purchase history
  • Automations that run on a trigger
  • Attribution back to the ticket

A second system at the counter is how loyalty programs quietly stop being used, long before anyone cancels them. Your team learned Cova once. They keep it.

What changes is where the balance lives. It is on a card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so you can act on it between visits. Cova closes the ticket. Sticky Cards is the reason there is another one next week.

Your regulars scan their card, and the points, the sync and the reward happen on their own.

No phone number read out across the counter, and no budtender hunting through a customer list while the queue builds.

The usual check-in
  • “What’s the phone number on your account?”
  • Customer recites it, or gets it wrong, or has two accounts
  • Budtender types it in and searches
  • Points get checked, or quietly skipped when it is busy
Check-in with a Sticky card
  • Customer opens their wallet, or hands over the card
  • One scan at Attach Customer
  • The right account is on the order, every time
  • Points and rewards are already there when the ticket closes

They walk in with the card already on their phone.

The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, next to their transit pass. Nothing to download, no account to log into. Regulars have it open before they reach the till.

Your budtender scans it at Attach Customer, and the right account is on the order.

Tap the Last Name field, scan, select the customer. That is the whole new habit.

It is faster than asking for a phone number, and it cannot attach the wrong account.

Points earn at checkout and show in Cova straight away.

Nobody adds them. Sticky Cards owns the balance and writes it into Cova, so the number on the ticket and the number on the card are the same number. Refunds take their points back on their own.

The cart shows the balance and the rewards ready, so your budtender can offer one without looking anything up.

The reward is already in Cova, and tapping Use takes it off the invoice.

Rewards sit in Cova’s own Loyalty Rewards screen with their value and the points they cost. Your budtender taps Use and the discount lands on the invoice. No codes, no coupon SKUs, no training beyond pointing at the button.

Rewards are fixed dollar amounts, and one cannot be worth more than the invoice.

Cova transactions sync to Sticky Cards in real time. The card updates after the sale, and segments move with the purchase instead of a nightly job.

We measured members against non-members in the same stores

Every number above is this integration, measured on a real Cova estate: members against non-members in the same 18 stores over the same 100 days. No modelled uplift, no projections.

It is a cohort comparison, not a randomised test, so some self-selection is in there. Engaged customers are more likely to enrol. We would rather tell you that than round it off.

Customers scan a QR code at your counter and the card lands in their wallet.

No apps, no passwords. The wallet app is already on every phone that walks into your store, so signup finishes at the counter.

The scanner on your till reads the barcode straight off the wallet card.

Every extra step between the offer and the card is a customer who says they will do it later. The wallet is where their boarding pass and coffee card already live, so there is nothing to learn.

Once the card is in, you can reach that person without asking for anything else. It updates after every Cova sale, so the balance they see is the balance your POS has.

Once Cova is connected, your follow-ups go out on email, text and push.

Review requests, win-backs, abandoned carts and product drops, on the channel each customer reads, all fired off live Cova data.

Your segments are built from Cova purchase history and update on every sale.

Filter on 120 or more attributes, nested with AND, OR and NOT up to five levels deep. The audience count moves while you build.

Every segment recomputes on each Cova sale, not on a nightly batch. That is the difference between messaging the customer who lapsed this week and the one who already came back on their own.

Push rides on the Apple and Google notification rails, so it is unlimited under fair use and draws no credits. Email and text are metered: one credit covers 15 emails, one text or half an MMS, and credits never expire.

See the segment library, or read how attribution ties a send back to the register.

Points carry across every location, because rewards are set at the account level.

A customer earns at the shop near work and redeems at the one near home, on the same card. You set the program up once and every store runs it.

You also see one customer instead of three. A group running a separate program per site cannot tell a regular from someone who visits each location once, and cannot message either of them well.

Reporting gets simpler too. Compare enrolment and repeat rates store by store against one program, copy what the best site does, and open a sixth as a configuration step. The multi-location page goes further.

Same program, same card, whether you run one store or six.

Your customers keep the points they earned, and every balance is reconciled and verified before you go live.

Migration stops most switches, so here is what it involves and what it costs.

Whether you are on Alpine IQ, springbig or a program you built yourself, your customers keep their points. We move the lists, the balances and the creative, and migration is free.

The cutover happens on the pre-live call: Cova’s native loyalty goes on, your old system goes off, and your rep does the configuration with you on a screenshare. It has to be the only loyalty system running. Two systems writing to the same ticket is how a customer ends up with a balance nobody can explain.

One thing before you book. If you are inside a term with your current provider, switching early means paying both for a stretch. Find your renewal date and notice period first and time the migration to it. The springbig and Alpine IQ switching pages go through it platform by platform.

Common questions about Sticky Cards and Cova

Does Sticky Cards replace the loyalty built into Cova?

No. Cova Loyalty stays switched on and remains the screen your budtenders work in. Sticky Cards runs the program behind it: the earning rules, the balances, the reward list, the wallet card, and the email, text and push between visits. Cova opened its native Loyalty Rewards screens to integration partners, which is why the integration behaves like part of the point of sale.

Do budtenders need training or codes?

No. No codes to type and no coupon SKUs to look up. Your team scans the card at the start of the sale, and the reward appears in the Cova screen they already use.

What reward types work?

Fixed dollar-value rewards, the kind Cova’s native loyalty holds. Product-specific and percentage-off rewards do not run through this path, and a reward cannot be worth more than the invoice.

What happens to points when an order is refunded?

They come back off automatically. Nobody adjusts a balance by hand, so the card in the wallet and the balance in Cova stay in step.

Does it work with any Cova version?

Yes. Any current Cova version works, with no minimum build and nothing to install on the till beyond the scanner. It runs against Cova’s native loyalty, so background updates change nothing.

Do I need extra hardware?

One wired 2D barcode scanner per till, in HID mode. That is what reads the card at Attach Customer. Standard 2D scanners and Zebra scanners both work. Bluetooth and wireless scanners do not.

Does it work when the internet goes down?

Cova keeps ringing sales, and the till shows the last balance Sticky Cards synced. When Cova reconnects, Sticky Cards receives the orders rung in the meantime and updates the balance. Nothing is lost.

Do points carry across my locations?

Yes. Rewards are set at the account level, so a customer earns at one store and redeems at another against the same balance.

What do customers have to install?

Nothing. They scan the QR on your counter, fill in a short form, and the card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. No apps, no passwords. They can remove it themselves any time.

Can I export my customer data from Sticky Cards?

Yes. You can export your full customer list at any time, including contact details and the latest point balance. There is no fee and no support request required.

What happens to my customer data if I leave Sticky Cards?

You keep it. Sticky Cards lets you export everything at any time, so your customer list is yours whether you stay or go.

How long does it take to go live?

Live in 14 days. Your rep does the Cova configuration with you on a pre-live screenshare, and the Cova guides have the step-by-step if your team would rather follow it themselves.

Book a demo and see it on your own Cova data.

Thirty minutes, your store numbers, and a straight answer on whether the math works for you. If it does not, we will tell you.
