Sticky Cards

Make a counter sign that grows your text list

Enter your store name to make a counter sign with a QR code that opens a text ready to send JOIN to your number. Download it as a PNG or a 4 by 6 inch PDF for your counter or door. On a Sticky SMS account, the shopper sends the text and completes a short sign-up form.

A shopper holds up her phone to join at a store counter while the staff member checks the tablet.

Letters only, easy to say out loud.

Sticky SMS, by Sticky Cards, the loyalty and marketing platform for cannabis dispensaries, built this generator as one of its texting tools for dispensaries.

Your sign is ready to print in four steps

  1. Add your store name

It sits at the top of the sign.

  2. Set the keyword

Shoppers text JOIN unless you set another short word that is easy to say at the counter.

  3. Add your number

Enter your texting number, or leave the field blank to preview the sign with a sample number.

  4. Download and print

PNG for screens and social posts, PDF for a 4 by 6 inch print.

A short keyword is easy to say and to text

  • Short, and easy to spell after hearing it once.
  • Free of product words, the same rule the banned word checker applies to your texts.
  • The same keyword on every sign, receipt and social post, so people learn it.

The sign tells shoppers what they are joining

CTIA expects the first text after someone joins to name the program, say how often you text, mention any fees, and explain how to get help and how to opt out. The generator prints the same basics on the sign: message frequency, data rates, STOP and HELP.

The scan opens a text, and a short form completes the sign-up

The QR code opens the Messages app with a text ready to send JOIN to your number. On a Sticky SMS account, the shopper sends it and completes a short sign-up form. Until you have an account, the number on the sign is a sample.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code work right away?

It opens a text with your keyword filled in. The keyword and number go live when they are set up on a Sticky SMS account.

Can I use my own texting number?

Yes. Enter it in the number field and the QR code and sign use it.

What size does the PDF print at?

Four by six inches, which fits a standard acrylic sign holder.

Is anything I enter saved?

No. The sign is drawn in your browser and nothing is stored or sent.
